چکیده

A study was conducted to determine the breeding season of endangered Nandus nandus by observing fecundity, somatic indexes, and gonadal cycle development year-round. Samples were collected from different fish landing centers Sadar Upazila Gazipur district. GSI values N. ranged 4.26 ± 0.45 10.28 0.39 while maximum minimum observed in July October, respectively. However, GaSI showed an inverse relationship between them. The fecundity this varied 11176 ±593 18030 1704 with mean value 13534.87 87.53. Interestingly highest lowest 593 March, implying that increased increment time. Histological observation ovary confirmed presence undeveloped oocyte (UO) mature (M) stages oocytes fishes March November. including yolk vesicle’s (YV), granule’s (YG), case male predominance spermatozoids found high proportion during June indicating peak nandus. Finally, these results suggest may breed information help provide a guideline for induced proper management controlled system as well conservation being extinct.
